Abdikarim I believe he was given a transitional term, the term limit is necessitated in democratic governments to prevent the excess growth and monopoly of power, which already exists in Somaliland, even if u dont consider that a term, two terms equal 10 years so another beginning 2010, btw he cam to power in early 2002 will allow this thug 14 yrs, its unconstitutional by simple arithmetic and more importantly by the spirit of law, as a i explained. .

Currently, Somaliland is a sham, there is no democracy in Somaliland and no real hope of real future state that can harness the collective hopes and effort of the people, rather what u have is a moraly curropt cowardly mafia gang established as the political elite, if u read the quran it refers to the mala'a or roughly elite who ruin nations and when the worst among a people become established in a nation they bring out the worst and its a form of a punishment for wicked people and trial for others. We can say siyad barre was such a leader and faqashism, nss, warlordism, tribalism, every shame and destructive tendency brought to forth in Somali Society, riyale is a continuation of this leadership and Afweyne may be dead but change has not come. ,

Somaliland is among the walking-dead, The light of SNMis nearly extinguished, the institutions that people may have turned to such as, saladiin and guurti have been corrupted. There is no democracy, no justice system, no state-building, no nation-building, no real economy, on the other hand everything that is expected to give the nation life is withering away its like someone dying of cancer, aids, or starvation...skin and bones waiting to take its last breath. Even during afweyne their was certain measure of advancement in somaali literature, language nothing in Somaliland except scavenger clique busy devouring the state to its bear bones, not one road, or clinic. Just look at the recent budget even for the small percent they have accounted for over 50% is missing. And of course no account exist for the monopolistic partnership between riyale and TOTAL, AL-JIBAAR, the printing of money and much more all this is a tax on the people...100s of million dollars in the pocket of riyale and his thugs and 50 million official budget which still does not reach the people but is further misappropriated at the ministerial level is not something I expect people to tolerate, may be some sections of the country are able to tolerate being robbed and live like a eunech's but not all of somaliland without virulence and ambition. Somaliland was to bring an end to the afweyne regime not become a less efficient miniature of it, its really simple as that...this state of affaires have been tolerated for too long and its time silanyo stopped entertaining the people and move out of the way, in the case of faysal is hopeless case he does not care his people but just being in the limelight. I dont think any clan will fight for riyale even his gudabursi and they cant depend on the army to do their dirty job, and even if some stupid clan decides to defend the status quo it wont be much of a contest...Doing nothing now will only put of the inevitable at a time when the cost will be potentially much higher
