This is an epic poem composed by Mohamoud Samakab who lived in that era. It is long, long one, covers all the Daroods clans, summarizes extraordinary events, how Darood sub-clans like Marehan, Geri, migrated to the south and the west, but the salience upon which the theme of the poem rests on is the Darbadaaley War --a destructive war between Majerten with Tanade and Owrtable against Warsangeli. A war highlighted by Aw-Muuse's great ballad as well as Faadhfaadh.
It's poem learned and emulated by Sayyid Mohamed when he was young and other great Somal poets. The Poet is amazed by the contribution of Tanade and Owrtable and he seems to criticizing them for forgetting their long history and how their lands were dispossessed.
I like to scan this whole ballad because it has many ancient words that are hard to understand by modern Somalis. And the words are explained inthe footnotes .

DX you have to be clear, the Gabay was a response to the onslaught of a Dubeis subclan on the Cumar Maxamouds who sought the aid of the rest of Majarteenia. The might of Dubeis and or its sub sub clans are downplayed because a single subclan had overpowered an entire clan, MJ. The poem is an insult to Dubeis since Warsangelis had nothing to do with this quarrel.
Todays Puntland is met with Dubeis vs Puntland, the rest of the Warsangeli nation rarely gets involved since its not necessary and the Dubeis are warriors if pushed can conquer and eliminate their enemies.

Galabtaas habeenkeedii wuxuu cajalad ku duubay gabay isla markiiba gaarey dhulal badan oo markii hore ay xukuumaddii Soomaaliya in uu tiriyey u maleeyeen nin la oran jirey Cali-Afyare Aw-Cilmi, kaas oo markii uu labo toddobaad xirnaa la siidaayey, maxaa yeelay idaacaddii mucaaradka ayaa markiiba oodda ka soo qaadday gabayo kale oo codkii Khaliif ah; waxaana markii Cali xabsigii laga soo daayey lagu khasbay in uu ka jawaabo gabaygii Hurgumo oo ahaa tixdii ugu horraysey oo Khaliif.
Maalintaas roobabawda ahayd, markii jirkii qaaday oo daadkii qaarna guray qaarna gudbey waxay ciidan sayax farfadhiyaa habsami u dhegaysteen luuqdii Khaliif Shiikh Maxamuud oo uu ku mariyey Doogkiciye oo uu kaga jawaabayey Darbadaaley. Markii uu sheegay in uu gabaygii sunta ahaa faragelin ku samaynayo ayaa raggii qaar u digeen, wuxuuna ku jawaabey:
- Geeri iyo nololba Eebbe ayaa ii haya.
Aw-Muuse Deelleyda gabay, adi laguu daaye
Adigaa dabuubtiyo [37] tixaha, soo dabaal baraye,
