Surviving Pirate
Does anyone seen where to look the pics of the surviving Somali pirate?
The parents are saying he is 16 but the US is saying he is 19.

Salaam.
I'm wandering too, why are you writing pirate on the topic, but parite on the subject?
No I don't know, sorry bro. The media has over done it, with pirates this and that.

Im getting tired of these pirates, now somali's are associated with pirates, everyone asks me what I know about pirates like every somali has connection to them.

The obvious high profiles of these cases creates the impression that piracy is rampant off the coast of Somalia. This impression is false, an estimated 160,000 ships come through this area annually and in the last year it is believed that 15 ships were held for ransom - which corresponds to a 0.009% probability of being hijacked off the Gulf of Aden by Somali pirates. The fact remains that the magnitude of damage caused by illegal fishing and dumping far surpasses anything that a crew of 10 pirates could ever do.

It's too bad somali's and others would rather blame the pirates instead of looking at the issues in a broad sense.
