Re: Accounting Degree
Ina adeer that is the problem. I am 28yrs old but I don't really know what I like. ofcourse I know I like to get easy and fun job but which one would that be. The Job that I like the Most would be to be an anchor in CNN but I have a big accent and those folks are racist. so I dropped that dream. Another one is politics but again i am very emotional and hate to see others dying.hyperactive wrote:i dont know about accounting job avaliability but i would advice you to do what you like and dont think of money only.

Re: Accounting Degree
Sxb I know I could be a great debator or a Lawyer but In america, No hires Black Lawyers. Most of Judges hate black lawyers and your career would die if you will never win a case. There is no way you can win over a white woman lawyer. she would start dressing sexy and smile for the judge and he would only listen to her. by the time he is ruling, he does not remember even a shit of what you said.hyperactive wrote:think what you enjoy the most.

Re: Accounting Degree
What do yo mean by "no one hires black lawyers" that is just silly, if you are good at what you do, you will get a job regardless of your skin colour, Johnny Cochrane.

Re: Accounting Degree
I work in accountancy and In 1 months time I have completed my degree in Accounting and Finance. I'm also study for a Chartered accounting qualification after my degree. I will do it while I'm working full-time. Unless you pursue doing an accounting qualification after your degree you aint going to progress in the field of accountancy. Its not stressful but you have to be very competent in terms of understanding the concepts and applying them, and also analytical. Thats why you need a accounting qualifications to be successful, its part of your professional development. Accounting is actually quite broad so it also depends on what field in accountancy you go into, e.g audit, financial reporting, management accounting, Tax, Actuarial, advisory and assurance etc.
I'm part ACCA qualified (http://www.accaglobal.com/), I have completed 9 out of 14 exams. To become fully qualified, you need to complete the exams and also 3 years experience. You should look into the different professional accountancy qualifications to give you a better grasp of what you could pursue.
There are other accounting qualification such as CFA, CPA, CIMA, ACA etc. Good luck.

Re: Accounting Degree
Accountant job you can earn it at decent wages, if you get the CPA(certified public Accountant) certificate, you will make good money, but again it comes to who you are in any job in this world you have to be business oriented and stay top of your game.
