That is a BIG LIE.

No one believes that. Istunka is played as an ciyaar. Its just a festival and the stick fight is just one part of it. It started out with throwing objects at each other and evolved into a stick fight.

But not a sole believes that beeraha won't grow and they have never believed it either. Thats just a story injected into it by people who don't even take part in the istun

Shirib dont take it personal, we all have our crazy suufis, but denying it is not good bro

the istun is traditionally something unislamic, and it did have real mortality rate as weapons and serious beatings was its traditional customs, but the Kacaan changed it into a regional sport with teams fighting each other with sticks etc, also they were monitored very closely so it did not turn into something else.

Shirib i advice you to do a bit more research on it :|

Let me see this I, who's people have been doing it for years should do more research on it because u who's people learned about it when the kacan happened know about it more than we do.

Get the hell out of here you don't know what ur talkin about.

High mortality? 1 person has died in the history of the istun, and that wasn't even due to a blow but from more complex problems.

Best part of the istun isn't even the actual fight. The shiribs and shirta are the best part of the istun

This is not good and should be stopped. Most rituals started out as belief concept. Even if now is just a ritual it should still be stopped. Muslims have to festivals, Eids and Jumah.

Snoop,

Thats not what I was disputing you about. The government made the istun a national event. People used to come from all over. A lot of government ministers and even MSB used to attend. Workers from the embassies used to come and see the event. It was a big boom economically.

btw istun was always a ciyaar and played as a sport with teams and stuff.

What I was disputing with you about was the origins and why it is played
