The Facial Impression I saw!

Post by guhad122 »

This morning while talking to a renowned economist at local college discussing global financial issues while sitting at the school cafeteria, he asked me where I am from and I promptly responded “Somalia”. He made an impression that caught me off guard because you wouldn’t expect someone like this tenured professor who is a well-known international economist wouldn’t show an impression like that upon hearing the word “Somalia”. I didn’t bother asking about his disgusting impression because I don’t care and not praiseworthy of my valuable time. Please note that we may be in turmoil and at the bottom, but we are Somalis; the best people on the earth. One of them days, we will get our groove back!!!!! I just feel for those with lack of confidence when they encounter situations like that. Be proud of who you are!!! The impression looked exactly like this; only difference the impressionist was white:

You really should have called him on it. White people are usually more subtle haters than that. Besides they are quick to learn from their social mishaps, would be left to shudder the next time they hear a keyword to a previous confrontation: In this case: Somalia. lol.

Maskiin someone dare disrespect you like that? I am sorry to disagree with you but, I would have asked him whats'up if I were in your position… I can tolerate just about almost everything or in other words one or two things here and there... but unfortunately I don't have samir for indirect insults!!
