Re: True Love
What about between a man and a woman?

Re: True Love
I would say ''no'', but then I see my parents and I think they're the perfect example of love.

Re: True Love
In my opinion, only if kids are involved is true love between a man and woman possible.

Re: True Love
True exists I think. Why would so many men and women marry and fall in love if they NOT in love? it just don’t make sense, obviously there is something there I don’t know what would u call it. but love between men and women do exists, its just you have to realise to love someone, is not simply saying I love u but its the respect and patience that comes with it. I for one would prefer a man who shows love than says it. A one that got your back when going gets tough rather hides behind the “I love you” card.

Re: True Love
What does it matter if it exists, most of us wouldn't recognise it if it hit us between the eyes.
Re: True Love
Yes, it exists. Few are blessed to find it. Best example was our Prophet (saw) and how much he loved Khadijah (ra).
No shame in loving someone and letting it be known, it doesn't make you less of a man or a woman than you were before.

I would agree with you too. But what added to their happiness with the level of trust and respect that they had for each other. I guess even when there is no love left, respect remains to be important thing to have.Serena wrote:I would say ''no'', but then I see my parents and I think they're the perfect example of love.

Re: True Love
Yes, I think love is out there, but you have to be open, positive, and you have to love yourself, before you can really begin to love anyone else.
Is there a difference between being in love, and/or loving someone?

Re: True Love
I think you can interpret the two differently. Some ppl dont see the difference, but personally there is. To be in love is an addiction truly. Nothing matter in the world more than that particular person. However, to love is to have infinite capacity to care deeply about ppl, animals or anything that you love and care for.

Re: True Love
There was this woman in the doctor's waiting room. She was crying, and I was sitting next to her. She kept sniffeling so I offered her some tissue, after thanking me, she felt this was an opportunity to pour her heart out to me. So she told me her husband had cheated on her etc, but even tho she wasn't IN love with him anymore, it still hurt because she still loves him and cares for him deeply not just 'cause he is the father of her children. I was just nodding the whole time, and just giving her a reassuring smile. So maanto dhan I was thinkin' about what she said, that's why I asked..
Thanks for the input ismahan.
