Somali Origin Solved?
I read something Voltage posted one time saying Soomalis share genes with Berbers. Upon closer look I noticed Algerians and other North Africans (Come into contact with them a lot) look very Somaali features wise. Its like Sooamlis are basically them painted black..interesting

Hyperactive, the only difference is complexion but bone structure is very similar. On the contrary Soomalis share very little physical characteristics with Gulf Arabs for instance. Gulf Arabs have much less refined features, they don't have the boney faces of Soomalis/Berbers

Yes the Omanis, Emeratis and Yemenis (Hadramaut) because they live on the sea, but the Arabs of Najd and Hijaz and Northern Yemen have very little mixture of anything

Yea. Northern Yemenis are pretty much white while Southern Yemenis a lot of them are black, and most of them are very tanned. I asked a Yemeni about Arab origin and He said the only pure arabs are Yemen, Najd, Hijaz everybody else is fake. I asked Him about the origin of Oman and He was like "Shuway min huna, shuway min huna, jamacu"

Btw the Hadramaut Yemenis have a bad cuqdad from the Nothern onces, because the Northerners kicked their butt in the war

The way I hear it Arabs are from two groups: Qahtaan and Adnaan. Adnaan are from Ismaail Alayhi Salam and Qahtan go way before that and there the tribes of Yemen. Ad, Thamud, etc. were from Qahtan. Rasuululah SAW He abtiris from Adnaan

Re: Somali Origin Solved?
.
There was a very early mixed hunting-fishing-herding culture in the Sahara that created the paintings at Tassili. Settled village sites have been excavated dated at between 5 and 10 thousand years, as well as much earlier seasonal and transient locations. These people were skinnies. When the Sahara dried out, they escaped to the wetter margins and the river valleys.
The Sahara gradually dried up over a period of several thousand years, but by 700 BC it was dry:

Analyses from a 5000 year old Saharan cemetery:

Scroll down to see several skulls. I have seen others as well, and they look like Somalis to me. The later groups had herds of cattle. Sound familiar?
Several Egyptian dynasties, but notably the 21st, 22nd and 23rd, which gave us so many royal mummies that look like Somalis, are known to have come from Libya.Murax wrote:I read something Voltage posted one time saying Soomalis share genes with Berbers.
