Me and Twisted_Logic were discussing the situation of Marehan a few days ago and it's a disgusting one to say the least.

The Sad thing is they accept it. There is no out cry in the Marehan community. They given up on Kismayo I can understand but Gedo?

The Marehan family must show effort and atleast take the responsibility to oust Al Shabaab out of Gedo region.

Don't think of it like giving up.

Its about options.

Majerteen have a good thing going with Puntland State.

Do Marehan have a better alternative than Al-Shabaab? What's better, spending the next 100 years throwing young men into the death pit called Kismayo for no personal or community gain?

As a waamo Majerteen, my whole family likes Al-Shabaab in Kismayo but they don't want it in Puntland. Its about cost vs. benefit.
