on the weekend, i made a call to get a pick up since i was too tired to drive. after the ride took sometime i decided to go to the maqaahi with a little book on my hand. suddently when i made it to the maqaahi, a somali guy comes up and out of the blue starts a convo about the book and the author 'war ninkaan ma taqaan.. tan buu qoray, halkeen bey ka dhacday' not wanting to be rude i engaged him and while ordering and waiting for my food at the same time. a bit later the same guy is following me through the store. i get my food and decide to take a breeze to wait for my ride there instead of going back home. the guy is still yapping and got into detail about his plans and school. again i played along. i felt a jerk standing with my food outside. after 5 minutes outside and my ride not in sight, i decide to go into the dining section of the restaurant and unwrap my food, got him a spoon, and said what the hell. this is only possible in somalia and somalis
