Finance - This never occurred to me - but gentlemen

Post by black velvet »

After Marriage you are completely responsible for the health, safety and welfare of your wife and she in turn is in charge of the safe keeping of your home, your children and your general well being.

Now we are taught that all a man has belongs to his wife but all a woman has is hers to keep (financially that is). I heard a Sheikh say that the man's pay check should go to the wife so that she can use it for 'masaruuf' now this made me think. In 21st century terms, this means that the wife should have a card to the husbands salary account and have unlimited access to any income. She is to be a joint if not sole owner of his properties, his car, his savings, his investments...all his assets. Then I thought wow come to think of it, life is pretty good - as a female you have the blessings of God to leech off of this man.

And to think some women actually have to go to their husband each week asking for money.

these are women with no ambition etc, why the hell would a man want to marry a female who can't take care of herself in the first place? don't they feel like beggers? how degrading! Go get your own damn money, that's what i'd say!!!! :x

No, it applies to the wife regardless of her employment status. If she works the money she earns is hers, and she is free to dispose of it however she pleases, if she spends it on her family, then, she may do so, and this is considered as charity.

Madd_Scientist:- lol, sis, if she can't take care of herself, why would she marry in the first place? As a wife not only is she expected to take care of herself, but also her home, children, and her husband. Besides, it's his duty to be the provider, and there's no begging, she has the right to demand what her Creator has bestowed on her.

Salaam FF, that's my point exactly, a woman should not marry if she can not take care of herself. i just feel sorry for those who ask their husbands for money, they shouldn't even have to ask..like you've said it's his duty and if he's a good husband he'll offer. there'll be no need for the wife to even consider asking.

the way i see it, ninka iyo naagta xaq ayeey isku leeyihiin markasta, lakiin MS why are u saying the woman should get her own damn money abaa? ur making it seem like being a wife isn't challengin enough. despite the fact that she stays home and cannot make ends meat does not and should not limit her capabilities. being a good mother and wife is not an easy task, and honestly men have it easy! the only thing they're suppose to do is go to work and earn an income while the wife cooks, cleans and raises the children. in fact, Somali women are hard workers when it comes to their households.

midda kale, gabdhaha qaarkood waxaa laga yabaa in ee waaridkood la soo korin oo ee dhiban yihiin taasoo ugu wacan in ee niman iska guursadaan. marka ha la yaabin in ee guursato oo ilmaheeda korsato waayo waa nolosheeda see noqotey. ta kale, gabar xaas ah oo nin iyo ilmo sugayaan shaqo xamaali ah kama shaqeyn karto hadii eysan wax baran, wax barashada waa la isma siiyo ee waa nasiib.
