Your experiences back home
For me it was a shock. After being djibouti for 2 days i realized my skin tone changed. 2 shades darker. We arrived in hargisea. It was much cooler with winds..The feeling was so refreshing coming from djibouti. On the plane my cuzin was freaking out she was looking for a scarf in one of the bags. In djibouti you don't have to wear it. lol i remember her scarf was on so tight. Im so bright i came out of the plane with skinny jeans and flip flops and my ipod. No one really said anything to me. I got grilled. My aunt later told me later a man had come up to her and said don't worry she wont be able to leave like that. So on my back home to Canada i was wearing gabasar. My Somali wasn't too great everyone talked fast..so i didn't really speak with anyone other than ciyalka xafada i practiced on them little stone throwing devils. Wow..So many memories, weird moments and weird people.

Weirdest experiences in Somalia:
Almost getting arrested for taking picture of Bosaso port (inside the gates), the guards supervisor was gone and they were mirqaan, bloody idiots. After a few min their boss came and they were put on their place.
Tire breaking down somewhere in the middle of nowhere between Garowe and Eyl, we had to wait almost 2-3 hours for the first useful person to help us out, roads in Puntland are really empty. 40 Degrees in the middle of the desert isn't fun.
Everyone in Puntland thought I looked like some famous politicians son (not going to inform which one…
), every year the same question from pedestrians to shopkeepers almost everyone who I don't know. After awhile it got annoying.
Walking outdoors in Gaalkacyo at 11 pm (night) with no streetlights and alone (because I know my way around). While I was almost home as I was walking I kicked some ‘thing’…it made a load noise and apparently it was a freaking sleeping large male baboon, scary shit I think I broke the olympic record there
etc. etc.
