Lasanod is not part of what is known as "Somaliland". The majority of people there support Somaliweyn and are for a united Somalia. But there is no reason why cant cooperate with Somaliland as brothers when it comes to security, development and peace. However, today is not the early 90s. You guys have embarked on a desperate mission of supposedly redrawing the borders of colonialism, in order to enhance your recognition claims. We also know that there could apparently some sort of minerals or oil in this region, hence why White Moses aka Cadde Muse are scrambling to make deals and you guys are on the the outskirts of adhicadaye. Thus most people are realising that both Somaliland and Puntland have their own agendas, in other words the time will come when the people will make their own mamul and adminstration. With regards to poverty, if anything it is corrupt politicians from Somaliland and Puntland who have badly let the ppl down by claiming to bring peace and development, but only to constanly steal money and switich sides from Somaliland. As for lawlessness Lasanod is any different from Burco. Infact Burco has more notórious reputatation and yes you can carry a gun in Burco. Sporadic fights can also break out in Burco. Just check the road from Burco to Lasanod full of young kids set up large rocks constantly demanding money from travelers. So the time for Somaliland and Puntland propoganda about supposed peace and development is over my friend.
