Changing My Name

Mohamed simply won't get me anywhere in this post-911 world.
I was thinking about going for a tribal/ethnic African name or something like that.
I was thinking Kwame, or maybe go Ethiopian, I really like Tesfay, Gebra, & Tilahun. Maybe Desmond, its popular in Africa & the West.
Any ideas?

I knew this arab guy named ahmed, who after weeks of looking for a job, finally decided to change his name to david, the next day, he got a job interview.
Keep your name buddy, it's who you are.

A few weeks back in Minneapolis, I saw this Somali cashier kid, aged around 15-17 named KYLE. He was quite new to this country as well.
See how far a name gets you.
Who will get the job? Mohamed the arab terrorist foreigner about to steal yet another American job or LaSafari Jackson, the token Black man that will boost the corporate image?

Paidmonk,
What about Kamau (warrior in Kikuyu) or Njoroge (njoroge is a very old kikuyu name for a very huge old he-goat)

Too Bantu-sounding. I need something contemporary. Kwame is nice.

Kwame is a Bantu one too.
What about Mobutu

I know its Bantu, but I need something with a middle ground. I don't want to go too far into Bantuism. I'm looking for a job as an African-American male, not a Kikuyu or a Kamba.
