Alshabab Martyr's Biography

Post by sheekh-Farax-zero »

History of ethiopian born Mujaahid who fought ageinst filthy Habashi.
Shaakir David

Our brother martyr Shaakir David was born in Ethiopia, and then moved to Somalia from Europe. He was a very calm person. He joined Islam a long time ago, and he was very serious about the jihad. He was prepared to take training, just like Abu Maryan before him. The two were friends who liked each other very much.

After he completed training, in early 2006 our brother had an opportunity to visit his home country. Unfortunately, he was caught and arrested by Ethiopian authorities stationed at the border. They started to interrogate him to extract information from him. After they failed to get any useful information from him, they put him in jail for a long time.

Finally, they returned him to Somalia. He had no money. His friends were not there for him, and he did not know how to contact them. He found himself in a state of confusion and danger, and he did not know what to do. Eventually, he found his friends, and all of the hardships he endured made him a tougher person.

Shaakir was one of the brothers who participated early in the war against the warlords backed by the Americans. Abu Maryam was martyred at a battle at the Sii Sii area (in Mogadishu). Shaakir survived to continue the jihad but wished that one day he would join his dear friend (Abu Maryam in heaven). During the time of the fighting in Jowhar, Shaakir contracted malaria and was very ill. He regretted not being able to be in the front lines fighting because of the illness.

He stayed in Somalia at a time when a large number of muhajirin (religious immigrants) were pouring into the country, offering his own money to support the new muhajirin. He was like a father determined to raise his children on a pure diet of Koranic teachings and the prophet`s sayings.

Our brother was unable to join the fighters in the front lines because he had to take care of a large number of new muhajirin arrivals. He was primarily in charge of the affairs of the wives of the muhajirin fighters in the front lines.

Our brother Shaakir was a good model for living the principles of pure renunciation and disavowal. He made all Muslim brothers his true associates. He distanced himself from all enemies of God, whom he was determined to fight even if they belonged to his own tribe. As many people may doubt, it is not easy to confront one`s relatives in a war. It is a big test because Satan will attempt to sow doubt in your mind. May God bless Shaakir for the way he lived with his Muslim brothers. He stood up against the belligerent and offensive members of his own people (Ethiopians) who would eventually kill him.

He finally managed to join the fighters at the front lines, feeling relieved when he reached the battlefield. Calm and satisfied, he joined the battle at Idale at the beginning and stayed until the end. Later on, the amir of the mujahidin ordered a tactical retreat for regrouping and reorganization. The mujahidin moved back to within 15 km from the town of Dinsor. The mujahidin clashed with an Ethiopian force led by a tank unit that advanced from Idale. After a bloody fight, an Ethiopian tank burned all night after it was hit with an RPG weapon. That night Ethiopian forces seemed determined to overrun and isolate the whole area to prevent anyone from taking photos of the burning tank for publicity purposes.

A group of mujahidin, including Shaakir and another mujahid named Yusuf al-Biritani (British), took defensive positions in a trench in front of the burning tank. In his defensive position and ready to ambush Ethiopian advancing forces, Yusuf al-Biritani got a whiff of a fragrant aroma. Looking in the direction of the source, he saw Shaakir spraying himself with perfume as if he were preparing himself for martyrdom. They suddenly heard the sound of advancing Ethiopian soldiers in single file on either side of the road.

The amir ordered the mujahidin to hold fire until Shaakir gave them a signal to open fire. Shaakir waited until all Ethiopian soldiers were inside the perimeters of the ambush. The mujahidin opened fire from all directions, causing the first line of Ethiopian soldier to drop like potatoes dumped from a sack. During the heavy battle that ensued, Shaakir was martyred after fighting hard. May God accept his martyrdom. May God make his destiny to meet with his dear friend at the higher levels (of heaven). May God show his family and children the same path as Shaakir. Amen.
