In response to Voltages HIV/STD thread: Would You Marry a Girl/Guy With Genatal herpes that you came to know, respect and love?

I know a person that did, ain't love a bitch!!!

Personaly I wouldn't and I would just walk away from the Relationship and perhaps be friends with the person.

What is you guys take on this matter?

If she was chaste and dude never repented for his promiscous lifestyle, their marriage is null & void.

Its in the Qur'an. Fornicator/adulterer marries none but a fornicator/adulterer.

Its forbidden for them to seek marriage with chaste partners.

Somaliboqor, I put my health and wellbeing over anything man, I wouldnt put myself in the situation even if it was a curable disease, I wouldnt get close but some people obviously think they can get around it (not sleeping together when flared up and shid), I just cant take that chance.

That's why I would Advice every new couples to test themselves (BOTH) before marrying each other.

I remembered a lecture by Bilal Phillips he talks about doing a checklist of yourself and your future spouse before tying the knot. Forget about actual pre-marital sex, he says a man/woman who was known for keeping girlfriends/boyfriends can not be wed by a chaste person unless he/she repents. He used as example a hadith involving a promiscous woman whom a man wanted to marry and asked the Prophet (saw) for advice. The Prophet (saw) said it was forbidden to wed such a woman because she kept boyfriends. But if the person repents and abstains from it, then it becomes acceptable to marry.

I'll try to find you the link for the lecture, it opened my eyes to a lot of stuff I was ignorant about.

Order mutual testing 6 months before you propose. If she refuses, dumb her/his ass.

I'm not getting an STD for anybody.
