Have any of you taught English in a foreign country before?

Never come across a Somali who's done this but I thought it might be worth asking. Care to share your experience?

Those pictures are great thanks for sharing. How long were you in Somalia by the way and why Somalia, did you just randomly pick an African country?

BV,

I was assigned to Somalia before I even knew where it was. I was there 1966-67.

I had a BA in history and was given three months TEFL training at Columbia. It wasn't enough.

Nalia that is more or less my plan lakin they say you have to be a native speaker of English? I mean I've been speaking English as long as I can remember but I'm African :| Where's your cousin from?

lool@ Ismahan I guess that would count

 I can just imagine but then you're still engaging with Somalis so it mustn't have been that bad
