No...Snake almost dies in the first part of MGS2, the tanker chapter... everyone thinks he is dead but he survives the sinking tanker with Otacon's help

in the plant chapter you play as raiden and the terrorist leader (Solidus Snake) is calling himself Solid Snake... but everyone says Snake is dead and that they recovered his body (which was actually Liquid Snake's body)

in metal gear solid 3, you play as Naked Snake aka Big Boss... Solid, Liquid and Solidus father and it takes place in 1964

in MGS4... Solid Snake is old and you play as him the whole game but he doesn't die at the end him and Big Boss make peace before Big Boss finally dies to new FOXDIE that was injected in Snake in the beginning of the game... cause on of the Patriots workers (Drebin) was told to keep an eye on Snake and support him with weapons

Ocelot, EVA and Big Boss were part of the Patriots with Major Zero, Paramedic and Sigint (DARPA Chief in MGS1) but Big Boss broke away... he was then put into a coma after Solid Snake apparently killed him in Zanzibar...Ocelot and EVA worked the whole time to free Big Boss

hell, in MGS4 Ocelot faked being posessed by Liquid so that the Patriots would fight against him and help Snake....and in turn, Snake and his friends destroy the Patriots system and it frees Big Boss

MGS is very complicated

Metal Gear Solid 2 and 4 are the most complicated story lines i ever have witnessed

- i though he died i havent played that game since the end of 2002 - snake player was way better then that raiden player - when you play with that raiden player it aint as adventurous as snake
