Why dont somali Men Lighten their skin?

I want to ask somalis this question. why is it a problem or a taboo if a somali man lightens his skin.
we all know that people get darker as they get older even if they were born light. this is the case for most somali men, light skin as children and then as they grow up due to sun damage or hyperpigmentation they get darker and darker, and you would notice that most old somali men are dark, not because they are born dark skin, but because of environmental damage, and lack of care for their skin... am not talking about dark skin born people, am talking about the original light skin boys who are now dark men.

I have noticed so many times lots of friends or cousins of mine from back in the day who were light skin, some very fair, when i see them now, they are so much darker why is that.

You also notice a family were the brothers and father are dark, and mother and daughters are light skin, not because the daughters and mother bleached their skin, but because the boys grew darker.

isnt it time somalis got out of this mentality and that men should look after themselves as well as Women, asians, arabs, and even other africans are already doing this why arent we.

and its not gay its called metrosexual...

First of all i never said all somali men get dark, i said majority get darker, depending on where you live, maybe you live in a cold country with a nice climate, but those of us in hot sunny polluted countries get darker, FACT. and if you maybe read once in a while you would know, people in harsh hot conditions get darker no matter how light they were before.

and am not saying bleach your self there are other ways. ps am not gay am straight man who likes to look after his looks. stop been ignorant.
