Look at the bigger picture - Don't take sides.

Did anyone watch Universal TV??

Why are people starving in Xamar while officials are selling Food Aid? Al-Shabaab and TFG are witnessing this....

The warehouses of UNDP and WFP are full of food that has been donated, Its being sold to businessmen while camps of full starving people are just 100 yards away.

WFP should stop giving food to Somalia since most of it never reaches those who most needed.

I one read somewhere that Somalia gets close to 1 billion a year on food aid. Large junk of it comes from the USA. Unbelievably generous largess by by a country that supposed to be enemy (gaalo) of Somalis.

Actually this practice -- setting up phony refugee camps; inflating the number of refugees to get more food aid; diverting food aid to finance private expenses and so on -- have long and sordid history in Somalia dating back to the aftermath of '77 Ethiopia-Somalia war. Corruption and misapproriation of food aid is not institutionalized in Somalia... you can even say it has become part of accepted Somali culture.

Read Micheal Marin's book The Road to Hell: The Ravaging Effects of Foreign Aid and International Charity... it'll open your eyes.

little missy erudite... about 45% of food aid actually reaches the people

the majority is put in the market place or stashed away somewhere
