Legalizing Khat in the USA? ....................I know our 51st State aka Canada will follow suit.

Let's say you are in a position of consultation and your input matters much and most probably could tip a scale.

Unlike Britain where even iskaabulo (singles) could get some dole, the old USA ONLY provides for families with children. Therefore, the severe abuse that the holy leaf is subjected in Britain, will most certainly not materialize in here. Besides, it will generate a sizeable tax for Uncle Sam and may even stimulate a big chunk of the fukked up economy.

So, what would yr input be?

It's fine how it is, underground. Smugglers make their money - the government doesn't get a cut. If it's legalised smugglers loose the opportunity, addicts get a ready supply and God forbid it attracts new users. Plus the government makes money out of it thus cutting schemes that discourage drug use and encouraging Somalis to stay in the gutter.

In this terrible economy Khat should be legalized, because the government could get its cut (Tax). It will also be cheaper and less dangerous to obtain it.
