somali Geopolitics discussion

Post by nur_mujahid »

Honourable Nomads am starting to figure out the mechanics of the Somali state and the obstacles it faces.
First I have notice people fall in the trap when they look at the Somali republic as a homogenous nations state.
I would like to propose the notion that Somalia has multiple nations(ethnicly the same) within a nation that make up the Somali republic.
There are clans that can be considered a nation and I will state them as followed.

Isaaq (Brittan)
Harti (France)
Sade (Germany)
Ogden (Scandinavia)
Habar gedir (spain)
Abgal (Portugal)

There many more but you get the point I hope.
We can use the Germanic tribes as historical reference (not that accurate but a parallel comparison can be made)

When we look at them as a nations within a nation than their motivates and their act become rational and pragmatic and the Somali civil war starts making sense after all ,the warlords are noting more than the defence sectary of the “nations” who have Ugaas garaad (president and prime ministers)
But what separate these nations from their European counter parts is that the Europeans have permanent borders but these Somali nations are constantly manoeuvring in order to expand their territory so , they are a semi empires(how did marehan end up in gedo in the 1800 AND how did abgaal and habar gedir conquer Mogadishu from the ajuraan and we know majerteen dreams of relocating from the hell on earth called bossaaso to kismayo)
Now what I would suggest is that these nations( clans) should negotiate and sign binding treaties with each other based on historical but currently relevant territorial boundaries and exchange land if required.
These Somalis should adopt UN charter like treaty that guarantees relations between nations. And these Somali nations should than face out wards to the world and develop a semi EU,US political and military infrastructure that will regulate and enhance there common relations with the outside world while not infringing upon their domestic affairs.
Why am a saying all of this?

Well I believe Somalis ego is so big that you have to consider them bigger than 1 nation

I want people to discus geo-politics in Somalia historically currently and the future
what the hell happened in the past to us and what the hell is happening to us now and where the hell will we be in the future.
