Ok i saw this news the other day on somali-weyn and i was waiting for confirmation from my trusted sources and it has been confirmed by my trusted media also. Puntland is preparing for war in south-galkacyo because the administration of galmudug has been taken over by islamist ahlul sunnah wal jama'ah.

That explains why big contigent of puntland forces was sent to galkacyo the other day, they said they were going to galkacyo to do security checks on the city, but news is now saying that puntland administration doesn't want trouble to start and is waiting for confirmation from clan-elders of south galkacyo if they need a hand in order to defeat ahlul sunnah wal jama'ah. The clan-elders of south galkacyo have said they don't want to see city become like hamar, however puntland will continue to wait for green light to go to war with ahlul sunnah and take back south galkacyo for galmudug administration or to let the ahlul sunnah wal jama'ah operate.

It all comes down to the clan-elders of south galkacyo if they want puntland help, puntland has offered to help defeat the ahlul sunnah wal jama'ah. So it's looking quite shaky right now in that city, with alot of tension.

I think puntland has made the right choice by letting the clan-elders of south galkacyo decide if they want this ahlul sunnah group there or not, rather then just attacking ahlul sunnah. But not only that i am fairly certain that ahlul sunnah and puntland can work out agreements also but it depends that they don't cross that green zone.

That is why i respect the galmudug administration and clan-elders these ppl gave us their word in 93 when they signed the ceasefire and ever since it's been good cooperation between the ppl, we can't sit by and watch that ceasefire be destroyed by an islamist group. Anyways the choice is up to puntland let the clan elders decide what they want but if they do decide on keeping ahlul sunnah then puntland must also let the clan-elders know that ahlul sunnah must not break the peace-treaty of 93 and respect its conditions.

I hope their is no fighting, because ahlul sunnah are not extremists their sufis and peaceful. As long as u dont bother them, they wont bother u...so puntland i am fairly certain can work with ahlul sunnah if ahlul sunnah is chosen by the clan-elders of the south. But i prefer Puntland works with galmudug to be honest.

But we will wait and see and see the developments of this, i also heard this on the bbc today regarding galkacyo and puntland. There is has been alot of movement from puntland unseen in that area for a long time. Is that good news? i dont know but its worrying..

We're not 'tougher' than other Mjays ,we're used to warfare since we live in a hostile environment surrounded by enemy clans .
