It is sad that they killed that poor kid to prove there are foreign fighters in Somalia fighting on the side of Al Shabaab. There is no doubt that there is foreign fighters in Somalia fighting on the side of Shabaab but what makes this incident sad is that it proves the TFG are not able to kill even one to prove their claim. The guy who was killed left his American home and volunteered to fight and bring massacre to already suffering people. What is wrong with displaying his picture and letting world know the menace Somalia faces?

why is sheikh sharif displaying the picture of a young man who he inspired to come and fight....banna was a confused young man, he came with the intention of helping his people and to demonize him serve's no justice to the young man, the NY times claims he was tricked into beleiving he was learning cilmi, and that he called home and said they had been tricked.....i also suspect he was executed for some reason, just one shot to the head, the temple- favourable execution point.
