Afghanistan: British soldiers are poorly equiped- lol

I find it hillarious that British soldiers are poorly equiped than Afghan soldiers. How stupid that British troops and their commanders strive to be tough on the battle field with their Land Rovers? Lol. The pride of once British empire is still there.


This is really funny. According to the NY Times on July 12, the reason British troops are sustaining more casaulties is of two main reasons.

1. One is of the overly self-confident British commanders in the battle field. They won't retreat against the mountain-born, battle hardened Taliban even if losing their own soldiers.

2. The second reason is the mismatch between their equipment and commitment.

Here is a statement released by the families of the dead.

"They continue to allow the army to operate in those ridiculous tan-can Land Rovers when they should have been equipped three years ago with Humvees. The Afghan soldiers have 4500 Humvees. Why haven't our soldiers got them?"
