This a map i got from united nation food agency. It is the most effective, up to date and recognized map of somali clan families and their degaans. So if you ever have some idiot tell u his clan live here or there just reference the map it's pretty simple and clear one also. This map Tells u who owns the most land and also where each subclans reside. Lastly if somalis say darod does have bigger land but hawiye n isaaq have higher population centers that can be refuted very easily. Darod when added up all together is 10 million and you can source them this or educate yourself here. Mj and Isak is roughly the same size using undp statistics.

Darod is ten times bigger then hawiye using united nation relief agencie estimations of ogadenia population and using undp estimates of somali regions inhabited by darod and hawiye. Darod comes at 10 million. Hawiye 3 million MAXIMUM.

So conclusion is. We have more land, more ppl, trade n business is mj dominated (don't need to include all darod at all), politics (mj dominated), livestock count of puntland is 17 million the highest of any region according to puntland and verified by indepedent agency, fishery sector mj n warsan dominated, educated ppl (mj dominated). We have strangle-hold on nearly every sector of society be it economy, education, politics. This why they all hate us and also we are the most patriotic somalis is what the washington conference judge said. Endorsed as modern nationalist and also their historical records to show that mj were nationalist hero the untreaty of compensation. 90% of hawiye is not even mentioned in that compensation treaty because they never fought the colonizers and 90% of isaaq is not mentioned on the compensation treaty either, but all darod clans are and alot of mjs also.

Ps: If these other somalis say the map is fake you can post the reference i gave u and then make sure to inform them that this recognized map by the following agencies; unicef, care, undp, united nations(UN),world food program(WFP), food and agriculture organization (FAO), united nations office for coordination of humanitarian affairs (unocha), save the children uk organization (SCF-UK), US-AID...And the list can go on. U can find verification of those organization at the bottom of the map pictures, they are partners with food security analysis organization (fsau)..That just in case they test you and say the map is fake. Because if they say the map is fake they are saying these huge international organizations are fake also because they international organization endorse the map u give them. If they still refuse to accept it, then u can dismiss them and say u have just refused countless of respected international agencies who endorse this map and u don't need to continue carrying on the conversation and end it right there. They have then proven themselves to be fool. Destroy them with the facts and make them feel ashamed of themselves laangaabyasha. Believe me in no time they will view as superiors like they always have

In the first map, Raxanweyn own all of Luuq district and Half of Garbahareey district while Marehan control Dhusamareb and Cadaado and in the second iskaba daa, Beled-Xaawo is a Hawiye city, so are Caabudwaaq, kismaayo and most of Lower Jubba

Voltage thank u for correcting me. Abikar ...The first map is done by the indepedent food agency and i think that is more of an accurate image. I compared abikar map and first map and it clearly doesn't match. The first map is done by indepedent agent.

Cusmano, I find your reliance on these WFP sources extremely disgusting because their estimates are oftentimes based on need and surveys. Even their population #s are biased and too neutral to satisfy protests of the Orphaned-secessionists and their endless cries of victimhood.
However, To say Darod in Somalia is 2M is an extremely false statement almost bordering on insanity. The largest Darod clans reside inside Somalia and they are the most dominant and politically active groups.
For instance, it's estimated that inside Puntland including Sool and Sanaag is 2.5M according to UNDP. Besides, the most Displaced people in southern Somalia had been of Daaroods, that is the largest African Diaspora is of Somalis(Daarood), according to IOM and affiliated government organization of the host countries.

In the Somali region of Ethiopia, the estimate is of 3.5M, half of which is Ogaden. But remember that other Darood clans like the Gerri, Abasguul, Baritire, Harti, Mareehaan, Leelkase are also big in pop. size in that region.
I am just disgusted by ur inflation of Daaroods in Ethiopia whereas you make the Daarood in Somalia as though they are minority. Bullshidd.

Ahmed guurey i totally understand where u r coming from but today when we speak to hawiye or isaaq they won't accept anything but indepedent agencies as evidence. Therefore these estimates i am showing is to show them no matter if somalia population is 100 million or 7 million...darod clan will always be majority..and a majority by long way..sxb when i said 2 million darod inside somalia i gave hawiye jubba and kismayo and all the south just to show them that even when we give them southern darods their population still has no way to match us and we still double them even when we give them land.

I didn't bother counting diaspora...i just wanted to show them that even worse case scenario, dard is 9 times the sizes of hawiye...and that is not including nfd, or southern darod..sxb u gotta see where i am coming from...i am telling them "even we give u darod lands we still out number 10 times" ....that is what i am doing

These maps always make me laugh somewhat in where they group people. Darood is all one group but Digil and Mirifle are split up, or Digil and Mirifle are one group and so are Dir and Isaaq. Garre on one map will be Digil and the next map be Hawiye.

Plus there's so much overlap the neat, straight lines are hilarious.
