The Media is making a lot of noices about somali origin men who went to somalia to fight with Alshabab but I believe they are making big deal of it,Somali origin people in America would always be going back to their home country for one reason or another so they should not be demonising these people unless and untill they commit any crimes in the US.

Why is it a crime for Somali Americans to go to their country to fight with the opposition? Is it also a crime for them to fight with the TFG government?

it's not only somali americans i guess all somalis.
somali boy who was 16 who was going to north somalia to visit his gradfather, was sent back to doha from dubai. they said youc annot go without parents with you!!.

my fathern ow worried to sent me universdity to north african country. he may go with me inshallah.

Are you some sort of genius? Or do kids from your part of the world go to University as 16?
In many countries of the world (the UAE being one of them) sixteen year olds are officially regarded as children and would require the accompaniment of an adult or a guardian whenever they travel.

On the topic itself, my hope is that this is a mere storm in a teacup. If the Somalis in that part of the world are wise, they will forget their differences for a minute and work towards banishing the terror label that has slowly engulfing them of late...

lol nope 16 is not adult neither required to be with parents to travel.
i traveled at age of 15 and no one even asked me parents.lol

ps; im not 16 now i turned 18 march. done highschool this june and taking summer school for calculs and biology for university requirement.
