So day before yesterday i went to town..i was sat on one of the benches having a drink and these two Somali men one was about 50ish and the other perhaps in his late 30s walked by and they looked at me so i smiled at them and i was just making myself ready to answer their salaams..i thought they were going to say Salaam Alaikum..but instead the two men start talking ( while walking) and the old man asks the younger one 'ma soomaliyad baa? then he looks at me intently ( still walking) then he says 'ha ha waa somaliyad and they just walked on lol
loool it was quite funny..i just love how Somali people get so happy when they meet other Somalis

and the same day i met a Somali mum in jilbab with her kids...oh gawd MashaAllah her kids were sooo cute..sweet little girls with timo xariir tied in ponytails.
I smiled at her and she smiled back, i thought she was going to eye me up and down and give me dirty looks...i think my hate campaign against the jilbab is finally over..niqab one will continue

Why you ignoring my thread, do you want me to hijack this one inorder to get some answers...
Ps, your losing the plot if those above incidents are anything to go by. You want to know what I do when I see somalis I dont know, avoid eye contact and ignore them totally. I dont believe in all that somalis should be treated differently to other races and when you see one you should treat them better. Equal opportunity is my believe and if they want to be acknowledged by me they have to earn it first. In short if I dont know you somali or not wont make any difference..

Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
“There is no person who does not have the obligation of (doing) charity every day that the sun rises.”
......And your smiling in the face of your brother is charity, your removing of stones, thorns, and bones from people’s paths is charity, and your guiding a man gone astray in the world is charity for you.”

Wallal all I'm saying is because your somali does not automatically mean your entitled to special treatment. I said nothing about Islam or muslims, if you said acknowledge someone because they are muslim thats fair but I was commenting on how some people will eyeball you in the street because your both from the same country...

Bottom line is, is that a LOTTA Somalis talk shit about being Muslims first. Reality is that Soomalli and qabiil will ALWAYS trump religion.

Nalia loool sometimes people think it but don't say it out loud...this man was answering his own question and the way he was analysing me( not in a pervy way or anything)..he was genuinely soo curious that it was hilarious.
