Hey I cant seem to find Galdogob on the map? I just downloaded Google earth 2009.

I used to ask myself the same thing. And especially in the last 2 to 3 months since the area showed up on the satellite maps.

Funny thing is that its marked on the Ethiopian side of the border.

Xamud, It should be on the map. Was it not popular as the city Somalia and Ethiopia troops battled once with Abdilaahi Yousuf on the Ethiopian side? That is what I heard.

somalian boqor - your right puntland doesnt take any tax from goldogob - i have been there and asked the locals - cause who the hell can puntland take any tax from goldogob - when they didnt build nothing not even a inch - most of goldogob was builded by its locals and not the puntland government , the water system company was opened by some goldogob bussiness man , the telephone line , - Telcom company was also opened by a reer goldogob local bussiness - mans - so puntland cant never tax them - like las anod -

I really don't know any Puntland city the Government built other than the few Adminstration Builtings the Government has in the Captial Garowe.

All the Telephone Line Stuff throughtout Puntland is by Business man and even Water Systems. The only thing the Government does is keep the peace and provide law and order. But Puntland itself has been built by the locals. Goldogob is no different than the rest.

It's okay they will come around. I remember days when The Puntland Government led by A/Y didn't take taxes from Bosaso iyo Burtinle iyo the majority of Puntland lands.
