Somalia:Libyan soldiers kill 20 Somali prisoners

MOGADISHU (Mareeg)—Libyan soldiers have reportedly killed 20 Somali prisoners and injured 50 others in Libyan jails, witnesses said on Monday.

Abdinasir Mowliid, one of the Somali prisoners in Libya told local somaliaRadio in Mogadishu on the phone that the Libyan soldiers opened fire to the Somali prisoners.

It is not known why they have killed the Somalis, but some reports suggest that the Libyan prison guards opened fire to Somalis jailed in Banghazi prison in Banghazi town in Libya after they have tried to escape from the jail.

At least twenty Somalis have been confirmed dead and fifty wounded in Bangazi town in Libya.

The Libyan soldiers reportedly used knives and electric machines for torturing the Somali prisoners.
