Somali-Canadian Woman To Be Released From Kenya!

TORONTO — A Toronto woman stranded in Kenya for more than 2 1/2 months accused of using somebody else's passport will meet with Canadian officials Wednesday in Nairobi to begin discussing arrangements for her return home.

A spokesperson for the Canada Border Services Agency said Tuesday travel documents are being prepared for Suaad Haji Mohamud, 31, after DNA tests confirmed her identity.

Once she's safely back in Canada, she should sue the Canadian government for reckless handling of her case and leaving her at the mercy of the Kenyans.

What kind of 'Influential' Country allows one of its citizens to be locked up for life, by the poorest Country in the World? Now look, at this poor lady being detained for 2 and a half months. I've travelled with the US Blue passport, and it gets You nothing but red carpet treatment, and people bend over When they see that shid. loool, actually You're right, these dumbass kids are starting to make it difficult for Somalis. Myself? I just recently travelled and Alhamdurilah I didn't get any problems. I mean I went through the whole customs/transit in like 5 minutes Man. I think a big thing is the passport, if someone was born in the Country then there is no "Country Of Origin". My passport for instance says "Country Of Origin, USA". Nowdays though if it says Somalia, damn Man its not looking too good.

But still though Canada is on some other shid Man, either they just don't give a shid, or they dont get any respect. I'd assume its the former.

Yeah, I just traveled overseas last month too and Canadian customs didn't stop me for their "random checks" either (which surprised me, since I thought it was "randomly check anybody who happens to randomly be black")...i didn't have any problems abroad, although in Cairo, one of the Egyptian customs dudes asked me where I was from...and when I handed him my passport, he said "no, not what passport do u have..where are you FROM"...when I said Somalia, he looked at me and just shook his head...felt low as shit man I wanted to change his face on the spot....lakiin shit, they got an army and i don't

You might not be having any problems right now, lakiin that's all gonna change soon since America is opening up it's biggest domestic terrorism investigation since 9/11, and it's on Somalis. The days when u can slam ur passport on the table and talk about ur rights are long gone....the only right u'll have is "the right to remain silent since anything you say or do can and will be used against u in a court of law" etc. They're probably drafting something similar to the Patriot Act right now (Expatriate Act or some shyt).

As for Canada, anaa waso Canada but at the same time, Canada still has some influence in places like Ethiopia since they give them millions in developmental aid each year. The thing is, Ethiopia knows they can detain Bashir Maqtal but not Bill MacDonald and Canada will break their neck how quick they look the other way, every single time.
