Good riddance! I never liked these pirates esp how they ruined the reputation of our city. What benefit of holding poor Egyptians for months?
Yemen was involved as it released an official statement to confirm how it hatched a plot to release the Egyptian crew. Two of the 10 men that held the ships were also said to have helped the crew, according to the owner. They were previously hired as security guards but they turned to be men on mission.
Camanje and Maalmaha, if it makes you feel better. You should have read the former president of PL complaining of pirates. He told the NY times East African correspondent that New-Bosaaso--a Warsan residential--was the den of pirates.
