The EPL started ---------your observation so far

Goooooooooooners. Well, if they managed to destroy Everton with 6 goals, that says a lot of what they are capable this season.

Rafa Benitez almost ended up in the nuthouse.

SAF struggled with a close shave win over miserly Birmingham, likewise, Chelski were saved by the skin of their teeth.

Overall, Gooners look like a tough force to reckon with.

They were 4th

They won the title

They were 3rd

Liverpool were runners-up

So, where were the Spurs in the standing? Fighting relegation?

Lol, you cant win the league through the 1st few games laakiin this is what each club was telling us on the first day:

Mighty Gunners - "In your face haters/doubters!" (ps Gallas-Vermealen partnership looks hot; Toure who? )

United - "Ronny aint here, Valencia is pathetic...Damn, this is gonna be a long season" :| )

Liverpool - "Crap, looks likes another trophyless year again"

Chelsea - "Right...Drogba = wins, No Drogba = No hope"

Spurs - "Yes! 3 points from 1st game...Now we can win the league!" (aka...mid-table finish if we're lucky)

Saxib you of all people should know not to make such rash statements after the first game. How many times have arsenal run over teams and finish the season empty handed? How many times do i have to tell you you its all about consistency which comes with experience, which arsenal lack? Arsenal will probably play good football till Jan and one blip will ruin their whole season. They cant match the mentality and experience of united and chelsea, hence why arsenal will play great football, but finish the season empty handed, whilst united and chelsea will clock up 10 1-nil wins and be challenging for the league.

You remember when Hansen said united couldnt win anything with kids, the young players i.e scholes, becks, nevilles, butt and giggs were surrounded by bruce, pallister, cantano, irwin, schemicheal and keane who were all experienced. Arsenal simply dont have the right blend of expereinced players, hence why they seize when push comes to shove.

Btw we have had this debate for the last 4 seasons and you remember the outcome.

Great analysis, Arsenal played an unsettled everton team, where united payed against a team that bought a bus to old trafford.
Chelsea will def exceed arsenal.

well it's too early to predict,,laakiin spurs look strong team to me,,the big 4 will stay the same ,,and the weakest link of this season will be aston-villa and everton.

Rash statements? Haha, actully this was just what i think each team was trying to tell us in that 1st game. Im not making no predictions here.

The Arsenal you're describing is the teams of last season and all the seasons after Viera and co left. Each player has now had a couple of seasons to mature. Denilson is now the guy that can play alongside Fabregas to make a strong Midfield. Wenger has now got a change in formation, plays Bendtner in differnt position, got a solid CB to partner Gallas, a host of injury plagued players like Clicey, Eduardo, Rosicky etc back, a russian in the shape of his life and do you really think the Skipper is not going to playing in top form as to not land us in another trophyless season? Anyway, Wenger also hinted hes singings is not over...he may be stingy with the dough but hes smart enough to know that he has to watch a couple of competitive games to see in which area his squad is lacking in.

But enough about the Gunners...for a club you dont seem to see as title challegers you do go on about them an awful lot.
Did you notice how Uniteds defence looks a little dodgey? And its nice to see them relying on Shrek so much now the main goal scorerers of the last seasons have gone. Talow, if the Ogre gets injured what will become of the reds huh? Will we see berbatov finaly run for a change or will valencia decide to step it up a notch, out of the pathetic excuse for a winger stage hes in now? Haha...I guess its nice to dream hey. :)

The key for the gunners to sustain a serious challenge of the tittle is to stay injury-free. If Arsenal lose one of their center backs or even one of their midfield , then forth spot will be in danger. If they can keep the team that annihilated Everton on Saturday, I am sure they can compete with Manure and Chelsea for the tittle.

As for the tittle, It's too early. We can't make accurate prediction till Late November when contenders separate themselves from the pretenders

Dodgy defence? yep vidic and rio were both injured due bck in the next 2 weeks. When there back then its the same defence the conceded 24 goals in 38 league games last season.

Rooney is world class and will deliver when called upon, only problem is his so hungry that he cant play a traditional strikers role. Valencia played decent in pre season games and is more direct the ronnie, but obviously less talented. Arsenal will have tough trip to the north east and these arsenal girls will crumble, you'll lose hope and say 'their a young teams, wait till next season', so perdictable. How many times have these young guns had a brilliant start, then crumble when the going gets tough? No experience, no mentality and no consistency. United are notorious for the poor starts every season, then have a run from november to may that no team can match. Same old arsenal, walahi i dont see them as a threat, but appreciate the good football.

Have we not had this exact debate like for the last 5 seasons? Please remind me of the outcome.
