Dumb Puntland pirates @it again

Post by SahanGalbeed »

BOSSASO, Somalia, Aug 15 (Reuters) - Somali pirates found seven dead colleagues floating in the ocean on Saturday and vowed to take revenge against Egyptian fishermen they say killed them during an escape, an associate of the pirates said.

The 34 fishermen had been held hostage by the pirates since April, but they managed to overpower their guards on Thursday and fled in their two fishing vessels after a gun battle.

Two of their captors were killed during that shoot-out, and the pirates said the Egyptians took several others with them.

"We have found seven of our dead colleagues floating in the sea," said the associate, who gave his name as Farah, by telephone from one of the gangs' strongholds, Las Qoray.

"The Egyptian crew members killed them ... we used to welcome them and treat the Egyptians better than other hostages, but if we capture more of them we shall get our revenge."

Sea gangs from the failed Horn of Africa state have made tens of millions of dollars in ransoms targeting shipping using the strategic Gulf of Aden that links Europe to Asia. (Reporting by Abdiqani Hassan

The damn pirates are still alive. The news that they were killed turned out to be false according to the Associated Press. They cashed in $4M from the Italian tugboat earlier.

The owner of one of the two Egyptian fishing vessels whose crews recently overthrew their Somali pirate kidnappers has arrived home after a harrowing rescue mission that led him from East Africa to Yemen.

Hassan Khalil, dubbed "the pirates beater" by Egyptian newspapers, received a hero's welcome upon his arrival at Cairo airport as he is credited for the plan that led to freeing 34 Egyptian fisherman. Khalil, who owns the ship Momtaz 1, traveled to Somalia to negotiate a ransom for the release of his and another vessel, the Ahmed Samara' after the ships were hijacked by pirates four months ago in Las Qorey along the Gulf of Aden.

"At first we didn’t know who to negotiate with. Each of the pirate leaders had a different demand than the other. They asked for a ransom of $200,000, then someone else said $4 million and we were lost in between them," Khalil told Al Destour newspaper.

"Then we tried to win over the tribes in Las Qorey, hoping that they could help us reach a settlement with the pirates but that didn’t work either," the father of two of the fishermen working on Momtaz 1 added.

Hassan grew frustrated and hired a band of mercenaries. After paying one pirate $10,000 and promising more ransom money, Hassan was allowed to board his vessels to check on the condition of the crew. Then, with the help of the mercenaries, the crew overthrew the pirates, attacking them with knives, tools and guns.
"We attacked the ship at 2 p.m., a time when most of the pirates are usually high on Qat and the mercenaries were securing the road on shore," said Khalil, who also had assistance from a Yemeni businessman.

The 34 fisherman are back in command of the ships and are sailing back to Egypt with eight pirates locked in rooms and who are expected to be delivered to authorities. Two other pirates were reportedly killed in the confrontation.
While the fishermen's families confirmed that Egyptian authorities had no role in releasing their sons and husbands, Khalil hinted that the government played a hidden part in the rescue plan.

"I want to thank the military intelligence and President Hosni Mubarak for their efforts with the Somali foreign ministry upon our arrival in Somalia," he said.

Their elders can't do shit and for 10 000 $ a tuna head will kill his brothers and will let the egyptians take the rest of his clansmate back to Egypt !

Pirates know no rules and they are made up of gangs from different clans. They have no respect for the locals and their administration.

They are very sophisticated indeed with external contacts and financial ties and there is no one clan to hold accountable for their damn actions.

Some majerteen with a couple of their tuna heads friends came to Somaliland a while back trying to recruit some of their maternal links , they were ARRESTED and PUT in jail ! I still remember the overwhelming anger demonstrated here by the Hartis vowing to take revenge and retailate against Isaaqs in Bosaaso blahblah.

At the end of the day my dooro friends , ZERO, NO Isaaq has EVER taken part of an act of Piracy and none has been launched within the territorial waters controlled by the Somaliland Police .
That's just a fact !!
Tuna heads wanna fuck around like their majeerten cousins , this is the result , total SHAME !!

If Warsangeli wanted to retaliate Somaliland today would not exist, let alone Harti.
