I was just watching a piece on Aljazeera about How Greece is dealing with mass immigration of migrants from Somalia, Sudan, etc. who are smuggled all the way to Greece on route to Europe. The Somalis there and some local Greek Immigration Counselours were complaining the migrants were not getting proper treatment i.e (Education, Proper living spaces, etc.) and they were getting into public riots with the Police in Greece. During the segement they showed all these Somalis rallying in the streets of Athens with Somali flags, singing the Somali Anthem, even being very boisterous and unruly while the Greeks were on the side of the rode watching in shock. Firstly, I felt like telling these fools war dabal yaho You're in GREECE not Somalia. There not entitled to give You jack. Secondly You're fleeing from Somalia and entering Greece, and You're insulting Greece and singing the Somali National anthem, carrying the Somali flag causing a rucous in the street? Are You friggin retarded? The Greek Gov should have every right to arrest all these ungrateful fools. One thing I realized about Somalis is they have a uncredible sense of entitlement and self righteousness thats unparalleled. In one of the Ahadith of Rasuululah saw He mentioned "Aaailun Mustakbir" (Arrogant Dependent) as one of the people Allah won't look at, purify and talk to on the day of judgement. In another Hadith "Man laa yashkuri an-naas laa yashkurilah" Whoever doesn't give thanks to Humankind for favors doesn't give thanks to Allah.

Abti anyone who says otherwise is a cotdamm liar. One thing Somalis (in general, although there are exceptions) aren't known for is their gratefulness. For example, acts of courtesy (holding the door open for someone, helping a random habar who's carrying something heavy, giving an oday a lift even though u've never seen him before a day in ur life) don't even get a grateful response and usually not even a thank you, and are instead met with blank stares and quick departures. I sometimes wonder if acknowledging the fact that someone did something for u is just a Western thing, since i've lived in Canada for over 20 yrs...dhulkii anoo yar baan ka soo qaxay, lakiin I have a hard time believing this is just a cultural thing and it's part of our dhaqan...cuz how the hell would an entire nation function like that? Actually wait...I just realized Somalia ain't functioning, so maybe it IS part of our collective dhaqan

Ur right sxb, but the way I see it, it's a snowball effect. It starts off with not being grateful for favours done for u...then eventually ends up in you going apeshit when those favours aren't done. Not to go off on a tangent, lakiin I forget who it was but someone here was saying something about going to a Somali-run masjid in London and the SOMALI children were the only ones running around as if they're orphans, the SOMALI women were the only ones competing with the Sheikh in who could be louder during his muxaadaro, the SOMALI men were the ones driving their family to the masjid and parking their cars practically in the middle of the road...and the funny thing is, I go to a Somali-run masjid for Tarawiix here and it's the EXACT same thing here, not one single difference. All the other Muslims of other nationalities seem like deaf-mutes when the Sheikh is talking...lakiin u'll see Somali odayaal turning around and forming little discussion circles like there's not a Sheikh with a mic at the front of the masjid giving a lecture. It all goes back to a basic disregard for common decency, and a sense that "waxaan rabnaan sameen karnaa, yaa wax naga qaadi karo?"...which eventually leads to delusions of self-grandeur and culminates in you thinking you'll get what you want whenever you want it cuz ur u and u deserve it. In My area the Somalis make up about 80% of the Masjid. They come drop of their kids in the day and leave them there until after Isha using the Masjid for a daycare. You see a packs of Somali kids with no Parents around there. Then at night, the Fathers will come, get in a crowd and blast the Masjid administration that just babysitted their kids for 10 hours free of charge. They never, ever give money donations to the Masjid, and infact never do because they "Don't agree with their manjah/policies etc." but guess what? The Zakaatul Fitr name list is all 100% Somali. In addition to that You have the habaro that come in the masjid with friggin canjeero, shah etc. and treat the musalla like a lady martiqaad. On top of that at any given time You're liable to find some of those habaros ripping each others hair out before the Salah while the other Muslm Ajanabi are watching in shock. My Aunt became so disgusted with Somali behavior She wants to pray in a different mosque but was like I'm afraid if I do, the ladies who stopped coming to this masjid will look at Me and be like "Oh snap, they followed us!!"

Wallahi the same thing happen to me when I went to Gaalkacyo for the first time, I stepped on a man in the airport, "Raali ahow sxb" baan ku iri then some guy oo taxilee oo ka qarabanyey airport oo rabay inu na kaceyo even though my uncle told him dad baa ino so socdo oo yara dahay he insisted on driving us. Anyway the guy was behind me and heard me say" raali ahow sxb" he then pushed me and said" waryaa jiljileca iska dhaaf waxyahow ma naag baad tahay markad rali ahow ledahay?" I was like WTF? waryaa ma falan tahay? qofka haadi aad qalad ka gashid waa la rali galiya waa xaq, ninkan waan ku istagay wuuna dhici garay. The weird thing is? lacag in aan siino ba rabnay wayo alaabta bu ino qadayey,laakin we told him to take a hick, dabecad xumadas lacag iyo shaqo kuma heleysid.
