On A serious note, if Habar Gedir actually exited today as a unified Political unit like they did in the 90s yes. But today they are divided into sub-clans with each one with their own political agenda.

why make habar gidir out to be the boogyman?they are not united in one front today just like mijoroty of other tribes.
some waa shabaab,some waa xisbul-islam,some waa ahlul qabri wal daango,some help shariif shax shax put on the kufi staright the problem in somalia is not a particular tribe,waa dowladaha galbeedka who are using this weak"goverment"to safe guard their intrest in the horn.

Aren't HabarGidir using the Ethiopian army to defend Guriceel from al-Shabaab?
Majority of HG are in support of Shareef, eyeing the next chance to be his replacement.
Guys, read deeply the Birth and Rise of al-Itihaad al-Islaami by Siiarag. Though qabiil is still a big factor in its composition, the grand vision of this group is to establish an Islamic state despite all the obstacles put on their path by the west. All these obstacles are having a huge disastrous effect on the civilians.
