How can the issue be resolved?

Reconciliation? Meles already tried.
Giving them concessions ethnic Ethiopians aren't granted? Meles already tried.
Giving Ogaden priority over Oromo, Amhara, Gurage and even Tigray? Meles already tried.

The more I research the issue, the more I come to the conclusion that the ONLY way to help them is through 'tough love' if you will. What is a little oppression in the long run? If it leads to Ogaden becoming productive members of Ethiopian society we should be all for it.

The actions of individual Ethiopian soldiers do not reflect upon the TPLF or Meles Zenawi.

So that is irrelevant. Until you can show me the TPLF explicitly supporting or calling for 'rape or pillaging' I don't want to hear about it. I really could not care less about a non-existent phenomena.

True, I disagree with the ONLF's solution of 'Ogadenia' because a clan is no basis for a nation and the notion of a Greater Somalia seems more far fetched by the day. In short, I haven't got a clue as to what would be the greatest solution of the poor people of the Ogaden.

You confused child. The Ethiopian will wage war against these terrorists and Ogaden will be razed to the ground if needs be. If it escalates to that, have no sympathy for them. They brought it on themselves.
