I find this really odd

That theres people who have been in Canada longer than me and probably came here younger than me...and STILL have this thick somali accent.

I met up with a friend last and when I asked his friend where he was from..he looke at me like "aint it obviouse"
well to me it wasnt cause he had an accent ( a somali one). So I said to him 'you have an accent so I thought u mighta come from europe or something" and he was like "no, I grew up in Canada and America" I thought...no way...how can he still have an accent?

Maybe its just me..but it I find it weird that someone would have an accent if they came here as a child.
