Kolombo,

A serious question, is there a Somali city with a sewerage system ?

I always cringe about how poorly we treat our sewage disposal and how we get our drinking water.

True. Its densely populated.

Advo,

They are between the two rivers and get a lot of rain, probably explains why.

AW,

The cities with the best sewage systems are probably coastal cities e.g. Marka, Baraawe, etc.

Ancient cities with civilized populations. But all that's changed by now.

Kolombo,

If I ever got into some serious money, I would treat clean water and sewage as my priorities for Somalia.

Its heart breaking to hear about the thousands that die from cholera

AW,

Most people in big cities had septic tanks that were constructed out of concrete. They would get pumped maybe once every 2-3 years. Mogadishu had public sewage for streets, public drains, etc. But they all went out to the sea. There was no sweage treatment facility. There was a water treatment facility near Jazeera, it was near the fuel storage facility.

There's probably good money to be made from sewage disposal, but without serious investment in the infrastructure. Most people will choose to stick to the septic tanks which they are already used to.

Kolombo,

From what I heard they became the worst mooryaan after the civil War. They would boil young Marexaan kids in oil if they caught them, and they were at the vanguard of the USC When they attacked Baardheere. Infact My Uncle died defending the city aun.

Murax,

You're probably right, I haven't been to the city since my childhood. It sad though, because these people were some of the most peaceful people in Somalia.

Even the Mushunguli in Gosha have become something else.
