Too many Somalis are being diagnosed with Hiv/Aids

Post by Nabeela »

This morning I was asked to translate for a Somali woman who was recently diagnosed with the Hiv virus, they wanted me to tell her if she takes her medication regularly, it wouldn't kill her, and she can lead a normal life, but that is a lie, of course I didn't ask her how she contracted the virus even though I was tempted, miskiin I felt so bad for her. :|

Cudurkaan Somalida wu ku fafay, make sure you test your future husband/wife to be, your life may depend on it.

Untrue. We have an excellent AIDS rate considering the present situation.

As long as we continue to demonize those afflicted, we should be good. The moment it invokes empathy or it's mere mention doesn't bring about revulsion is when we'll hit Ethiopia status, Allah forbid.

You know how she got it, she is probably a cheap ass xaliimo who got it from sleeping around while pretending to be a good xaliimo, you shouldn't have even translted for her, you should have just told her to Dhimo

Since the first AIDS case in Eritrea was reported in 1988, the progress of the disease has been rapid. By 2001, more than 13,000 people had been registered as infected. About 2,500 of these cases were reported in 2001 alone.

Other statistics also demonstrate how quickly the pandemic has expanded. In 1996, AIDS was claimed to be the 10th highest cause of death in Eritrean hospitals. By last year it was the second leading cause of death among patients over five years of age.

Eritrea faces a rapid expansion of the HIV/AIDS pandemic within the next few years, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) warned on Tuesday. Dominique Mathiot, the UNAIDS Country Programme Adviser, believes the number of people infected by HIV could increase significantly.

AIDS in Eritrea is all ready sky-high.

No, because he never existed.

First I've heard of this. Feminist tendencies make you lose touch with reality.

She most likely got it sleeping with an ajnabi and I wouldnt be surprised if the current number triples or something.

She has about 22 years, at maximum. Enough time to look for another positive partner and turn to the most high.

Istaqfurallah, I doubt that is the case, probably her husband passed the virus to her and now she is paying the price.

Ka Darag, exactly, it might not have been her fault.
