The Future Somalia Map Endorsed By Somalis and The World

Post by Abdi_Razak_84 »

This is the future somaliya endorsed by a great section of the somali people and also endorsed by international community.

Image

So rather then wasting time on un-recognized shabab(islamist) or the out-dated (centralist) or the unrecognized (separatist)...Why don't we just accept reality and face what somalia will truly be like. If you don't have international support in this world, you will forever just be temporary and will disappear. For example the ICU courts didn't have international support, what happened to them? They separated and formed different tactic. Infact alot of them joined the recognized federal model, notables like (indhacade and sharif).

So these temporary obstacles shabab, separatists, centralist are not supported by all somalis nor are they supported by the international community at a large. So what future do they have? Their future is limited and they are on borrowed time. So lets all face the REAL somaliya that we will be living, the federalist path. The federalist path is supported by majority of somalis, only a few don't support it. Plus more importantly the federalist have u.n, a.u, e.u, and u.s support!!!! So i can't spell it out easier then that for you, no amount of calacaal will change this reality!!!! Accept it and make it work or forever be stuck in the current position we are in today!!!

Shirib, the federal lines are for the capital city because that is shared federal territory that all regional governments will work and cooperate together on national issue.

2 Hawiye states=galmudug, and shabelle. 2 darod state=punt, jubba. 1 rahanweyn staye=asal. And 1 dir state=adal(sland).

There would be 4 darod states if we had nfd and ogadenia apart of somaliya, however that is not the case. However within the borders of recognized somaliya that is the break up of a future fedreal somaliya, it will be very similar to that.

Why have u given D&M land to Hawiye making it part of Shabelle and not Asal?

In your map it looks like most of Shabelle Hoose which is predominantly D&M land is in Shabelle and not Asal

If you fight for the religion of allah, allah will support you. when allah is supporting you, who needs the support of au usa eu etc.

shabab are fighting for islamic sharia supported by the shacab thats why they are able to gain more ground on the dailly basis.

with out them ethiopia would've own somalia...give credit where credit is due...

shabab control all of the south accept for the villa..

Shirib, the problem we have in somalia is qabilism. Due to 20 years of war the ppl are suspicious of other clans. How do we solve this? Ignore it and act like everything is all dandy? or address it with a real-world solution.

The best option is to address it so we can cure it, rather then ignore it and let it spread and have no answer for somalia for another 20 years. The problem we have is i as a mj person can't go to jowhar and say to the abgal ppl "i will rule you" because they simply won't trust me. So the best solution is to let them rule themselves at the state level, and we talk to each other at the federal level or national level regarding our shared interest "somalia".

This is what federalism does, it addresses the reality on the ground sxb. Sure i would love to have 1 somaliya the way it used to be under siyad, but is it reality? wa may, marka why waste more time on unrealistic shit.

You know as well as i do, no somali trusts other clans, marka its best we leave all clans to work on their state by themselves. This will guarantee something called "ownership". When a man owns something he will think twice before he goes to war over stupid shit. Just look at puntland and somaliland, u see how hesistant they are to go to war. Because their is some sort of ownership they have at a state level which they don't want to risk over bullshit war.

The same would be the case for the hamar ppl, once they actually start building stuff for themselves and services for their ppl at the local level from their own hard work, they will also be less likely to go out and do stupid shit and war, because they don't wanna play around with their state-level interest which they would've of worked hard for!!!!

This is why i am ardent supporter of federalism, it is realist approach!!! I hope u can see my point

Abdi_Razak_84,

I am saying ur map is off. D&M lands have been granted to Hawiye in your map and that is a problem. Most of Shabelle hoose which is predominantly Digil land has been made part of Shabelle instead of Asal. There is your conflict right there

Shirib, This state of Shabelle is diverse, heterigenous and multi-clans and it geographically consists of the Shabelle River Valley and the land lying east of River as the Juba River enters the Indian Ocean. In terms of clans it is made up of Hawiyye (Mundulood, in cluding Abgaal, Gugundhabe, Hawadle, Gaaljecel in Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions) Bantu peoples such as Reer Shabelle, Makanne, 3 Cumurow and Shidle; and in South of No.50 along a narrow Banadiri strip (the historic 10-mile strip): Southern Dir such as Biimaal, Reer Marka (from Jasira, Jilib-Marka, Dhanaane and Marka, Sheeqaal. At Baraawe there is Reer Baraawe, Tunni and moving further south, the narrow strip widens to give way to Hawiyye (Gaaljecel, Ajuuraan, Sheeqaal, Cawrmale, Southern Dir (Biimaal and Surre) and Bantus (mainly Mushunguli) and Tunni of Digil.

^^^^ That part should be part of Asal not Shabelle. If its being split on clan the entire part of Shabelle south of Xamar should be in Asal and not in Shabelle

Shirib, the map isn't based on clan makeup but power.

If it was clan based, Lower Shabelle would be split too far down along clan lines, same with Jubboyinka and Somaliland area.

Its about clan authority. The regions are based along strongman theory. Marehan get Jubboyinka, Gadubirsa (or pro-TFG HY) get Adal (Somaliland), and Lower Shabelle goes back into Cayr hands. Isn't that the TFG strategy, hasn't that always been it?
