THREE children were slapped across the head at a mosque for giggling when they were supposed to be reading the Koran, a court heard.

Ghulam Sarwar, 44, is accused of striking the boys with a flat hand at a local mosque.. He denies three counts of common assault.

Videotaped police interviews of the children were shown to magistrates during a trial yesterday.

Two More of the boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said that they were hit so hard they temporarily lost their hearing.

The youngest said: "He hit me really hard. I felt upset because I couldn't hear and it really hurt."

No this is true. Theres a court case pending. Also, the childrens family are the ones who are pressing charges.

I used to get hit with a hanger and a cord in Dugsi, also hit across the head sometimes too and it worked for Me. Same thing in a Christian affiliated private school I used to go to a the White old lady would slap Me if I didn't do My phonix and reading right and it worked for Me too


That being said it is not the Sunnah to hit kids in the face, and it is good to be firm but still make kids love the Quran.

man these youths are too soft these days back in the day at dugsi i used to get the crap beaten outta me and i took it like a man at my dugsi we used to play a game called escape every weekend one kid would try and run away from class through the back door while the macalin was there and the the macalin would chase them down and give that kid the beating of his life man those days were fun lol
