Arise sir Ryan Giggs
Eleven Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, two Uefa Champions League winner's medals as well as the PFA player of the year award in 2009 plus two PFA young player awards and still no sign of his hunger diminishing.
This fella is not caadi, as to how he still has the motivation to wake up every morning and win more is amazing. No doubt will go down as the greatest player in the premiership ever.

No matter how much one hates and despises Manure, s/he can not help admiring this great footballer. I am assuming the title Sir is reserved by the Britons for someone knighted by the queen, is he already knighted or are u hoping (which I am sure will come).
Dude has an 8 piston engine in his lungs, caadi ma aha. When he retires, I wonder who will be able to fill those big shoes.

On the radio this morning the sports presenter was saying how giggs alone has more league titles than both the Arsenal and Liverpool squad added together. Made me chuckle lol.

Giggs already has a OBE, which is given to excellent and continued service. The title Sir is once as person is knighted by the Queen. Him being knighted is more of a fomality, the only debate is if he will be knighted whilst still playing, which is unheard of or once he retires which as minimum is certain.
Quote me from the earlier football threads, I always said Ronaldo will be missed, but a greater challenge will be posed by the retirement of Giggs and Scholes. Scholes being my favourite player of all time.

Horta how many times as Scholes won PFA? Oh bugger, thats right he never has. Talow would they just give it to him out of pity this season just like they did with Giggs last year?

1londoner you know how I fell about scholesy (no homo). Just a few quotes for haters like you, who doubt his abilty:
“Paul Scholes would have been one of my first choices for putting together a great team - that goes to show how highly I have always rated him. He would have been one of the first players I’d have bought, given the chance”
Marcello Lippi
* I tell anyone who asks me - Scholes is the best English player.
o Laurent Blanc.
* I'm not the best, Paul Scholes is.
o Edgar Davids.
Micah Richards : "He's always in the right position, always seems to be at the end of the box when the ball drops in. The complete midfielder - when he's fit, he's the best. Some go missing but he's in the right place at the right time. He's my favourite player of all-time, unbelievable. If you give him a chance it's a goal, isn't it?"
Glenn Hoddle : "There isn’t a player of his mould anywhere else in the world."
Terry Venables : "He’s the best one- or two-touch passer in the country. He sees the game unlike any other player."
Alan Shearer : "If you ask footballers to pick out the player they most admire, so many of them will pick Paul Scholes. He can tackle, and his passing and shooting is of the highest level. He’s the most consistent and naturally gifted player we’ve had for a long, long time."
Eidur Gudjohnsen : "I'm more an admirer of Paul Scholes than I am of Ronaldo. Ronaldo is a fantastic player, but he has 10 other great players around him every week...Scholes is one of the most complete footballers I've ever seen. His one-touch play is phenomenal. Whenever I have played against him, I never felt I could get close to him."
Edgar Davids : ""Every one of us (midfielders) is just trying to become as good as him. Everyone can learn from Paul Scholes."
Edgar Davids : "I'm not the best, Paul Scholes is."
Tony Adams : "I really rate Paul Scholes, because he hasn't got the high profile of many of the Manchester United players, he doesn't get too much attention, but he is one very good player. He is an intelligent player, he works hard and he scores some great goals. He is not flamboyant and is a quiet lad off the pitch but he is a tremendous asset to Manchester United and to England. He has already got my vote as player of the year."
Cesc Fabregas : "He is the one whose level I aspire to. He is the best player in the Premier League."
Patrick Vieira : "The player in the Premiership I admire most? Easy - Scholes."
Thierry Henry : "I can't understand why Scholes has never won the player of the year award. He should have won it long ago. Maybe it's because he doesn't seek the limelight like some of the other 'stars'."
Zinedine Zidane : "My toughest opponent? Scholes of Manchester. He is the complete midfielder."
Zinedine Zidane : "Scholes is undoubtedly the best midfielder of his generation."
Even Tony Paulis just this weekend said he was the best player on show. For me scholes goes down as my all time favourite. Genius

Lol, chill walal..just messing with ya.
Ps. Im no hater and I dont doubt his ablity. Hes a very good player and if hes tackling wasnt so awful or if he didnt have those weird moments were he loses the plot, e.g ridiculous handballs (dude could give Maradonas' famous one a run for his money) he'd have one that prestigious award a long time ago. Laakiin id still bet money on him getting it out of pity rather than a good season of fottie.

Yep scholes cant tackle, but his passing is insane, man when sky use to have player cam, i'd put it on the ginger maestro and sometimes watch 90 mins of him lol, disturbing but this fella would blow me away. As for player of the season, i doubt it, probably between giggs and torres, because the voting takes place in December. Read some of the quotes, from legends like Zidane, blanc etc.

He looks cadaan and half. This is Ryan Giggs and he is WELSH, not ENGLISH, but Welsh.
I thought a picture would help the thread. And I believe Londoner would enjoy seeing the Man Utd t-shirt and him holding the European Cup

Re: Arise sir Ryan Giggs
Yeah giggsy is quarter sierra leone, his dad is half welsh half sierra leone. Giggys admitted his athletic ability came from his African side, as his dad was a former pro rugby player.
These 2 are insane, 15 years and still on top of their game, laying it down week in week out to these young pretenders. They are irreplaceable.
Imagine Giggys opted to play for England the team of 98 or 02 with giggys on the left wing?
