Islamic institutes/organisations - For Ilm.

Post by Lil_Cutie.. »

Assalaamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Just wondering does anyone on here go to any Islamic Institutes? Most popular ones are probley the likes of Tayyibun (London based only), Al-Maghrib, Al-Kauthar...?
Apart from these are there any other ones?

wa alaykum salam

I've been to Al magrib course, last course held in waterloo, titled Heart serene by sh riyad ouarzazi. I made a thread about it, i attended just before ramadan. Brilliant. The next one is at the end of oct called the figh of salat, but i'm unable to attend because i'm working in another city. I was planning to go to tayyibun to learn Arabic but for one reason or another never got round to it.

I was thinking of doing the Fiqh of Salah. But came across that Al Kauthar is doing 'Best of the Best'.. the lives of the two great Khulafa's Umar & Abu Bakr (ra). Do you have the link to the thread by any chance?

Ahh Tayyibun is great MashaAllah. I love their Aqeeda classes and how they are on the sunnah particularly their level of segregation. I've done Tajweed with them Alhamdulilah.

these things are a waste of time ... and could even be dangerous! at best you don't benefit from them and at worst you get corrupted and the only thing you come away with is nifaaq and even kufr in some cases!

in the west - and pretty much all muslim countries for that matter - authentic islam, without distortion, can only be found in small basements in nondescript masjids, or maybe homes.

Somali-Star.. Do you have a problem with me today? You seem to be following me around and refuting everything I say.

Walal, no offence but it says more about YOU than the actual institutes.

Yes sometimes these organisations/institutes are dangerous, you need to checkout who you are learning from. Their Aqeedah and where they have studied. But that goes without saying..
