SomaliA "Naked Nomad"

Streets Of Amerika

Hooyo
" Pearl of my life After god is who i adore
We escaped war and ran from poor
Hoyoo gave me life to live for
She open doors and closed my pain
Told me anything i want obtain
That the life we live is just a game
And i got to learn how to be a champ
Notice how i say, YES MOM I CAN
Remember those night when we laid awake
On the floor with no bed and no blanket
Shivering from the cold but you kept me warm
Had me on your chest and around your arms
Oh mama, swear i felt so safe
And i would embrance and touch your face
Wipe your tears off cause youre going to be okay
And we held each other all night we prayed
Woke up in the morning, another day of mourning
We hear the gunshots but we got to keep on moving

Got To Keep On Moving!

She was all i've known when i was sad
She gave me hope and made me glad
Hoyoo was there when they turned on me
She made me smile and she made happy
Kind of woman that can save the world
Made me believe i can be stronger
Taught me how to walk and how to talk
She gave me all i want she gave me love

She speaks with Knowledge and knew me too well
Momma picked me up whenever i fell
Hoyoo bled and ached so she can feed
Never spoke back we scared to get beat
She would sing me "Huwwa Huwwa"
And instantly waan ku farxaa
And i would smile tell her please repeat
And at the end of that i would go to sleep
Shes my friend and everything i have
I tell her my secrets with her i share
Ooh i love her i swear cant lie
Cant convey how much i care inside
When daddy died i just couldnt cry
Couldnt understand why he had to say goodbye
I was a child and now i know why
But you momma you stood by our side
Even though our life was very hard ride
I write these rhymes for you to realize
Open your eyes so someday..
We'll be in paradise"
