We Muslims are passive, we do not vote, we are the least educated group in the UK and least employed. We make up less than 3% of the population but 11% prisons, we are too dependent on welfare. We are not a group who contribute to society and thus the government will not care about our interests. Things have been good for the last 12 years for minorities, but when the Conservatives come to power, be worried.

The solution is for politics to be part of school curriculum, teach young people what every party stands for. To get organised and for mosques to encourage people to vote and rally their local MPs, be involved in the media. We cannot keep being on the fringes whilst the media and bigots like the EDL are attacking us.
