Abgaal are not fractured, the only problem is close proximity to negative factors which stop them from restructuring. Imagine if Abgaal populated an area not afflicted by the scourge of civil war? It would put Puntland to shame.

Sharif is not a terrible choice, to be frank, if not for his hypocrisy, I would be behind him. At least he isn't MJ

If the Shabab initiative fails (it hasn't yet), Sharif is not so foreign that former Shabab supporters will be unable to get behind him.
