On what grounds can Christianity..
Oppose homosexuality?
Taking into account the theory of original sin (woman leads man into sin) surely any action which limits contact with women be it sexual or platonic should be encouraged?
In the context of Christian thought, men being married to men effectively cuts down on the amount of sin a man commits since women, the harbingers of sin are absent, right?
Islam - 17318237812
Christianity - 0
Of course, I am not saying women are not corruptible influences.

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
On the grounds of Qomul Lut. Both the Bible (for Christians & Muslims) and the Quran (for Muslims only) prohibits homosexual acts and gives Qomul Lut as consequences of refusal to adhere. Your basis of assumptions is predicated on the thesis or assumptions that EVE/Xawo is an evil or wrong doer influencer. By giving pathetic examples that man on man action is permisseable since the evil doer Eve/Woman is absent from the equation? R u retarded- reuters wonder!

This is deeper than an arguable sitation like that of Lut. Original sin is a fundamental component of Christianity.
Christians are advised to limit the time they spend around women especially intimately, making homosexual acts not only acceptable, but preferable

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
Besides, we are not discussing homosexual intercourse which is the focal point of the story of Lut.
We are discussing the psychological aspect of the orientation which restrains attraction to women and instead focuses it towards men, therefore lessening the likelihood of being made to sin due to the inherently corrupt female.

LOOOOOOL@Nomad
So in other words--- u r confessing u r a citizen of Qomul lut? The nerve of you.
No, homosexual intercourse was NOT the focal point of lut. In the Quran it states the Prophet pleaded with his people to not desire his handsome angelic male guests and instead offered his daughters. They refused to adhere to this and were destroyed in return. Intercourse is not mentioned at all. Christianity argues- lut were destroyed simple because of the homosexual threatening violence on the guests. I rather believe that both Quran and Bible have not categorically damed the act of homosexual--clearly.It is rarely mention or infrequently mentioned--certainly more than adultry between man and woman.
We r however forbiden to engage in homosexual acts, sodomy etc etc---even there is punishment for sodomy mentioned in the Quran. SO there-- i guess we dont need an entire chapter to be told homosexuality is wrong in both christianity and Islam. But the origin of homosexuality or the cause of it-- is my point of interest. I have a theory that homosexuality is a handicap. Just like there are mad people, crippled people and sterile people. Homosexuality was a test that mankind is plagued with one to control population and two to test their faith of reform. If u remain celebate and pray and be a good non active homosexual, u r destined to Heaven.
That said.....
Why r u do adamant to curse women?? WHy r u enemy of women??? Havent u evolved from the days of ninxoon???

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
Precisely - Forbidden to engage in homosexual acts. Merely disliking and not being attracted to women and having a preference for men is not condemned in any Christian text.
Therefore, the best Christian would be a closet homosexual seeing as they'd avoid original sin and being in the presence of the human Shaytaan (woman), providing they did not act upon their urges.
It makes perfect sense.

Well we cant say heterosexual act is worst than homosexual act. One is natural and the other is unnaturally,by this premise alone-- shouldnt u say-- homo shag is worst?

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
In the context of Christianity, there's no explicit favor gained for reproducing, many of the most devoted Christians are celibate, therefore the homosexual who avoids original sin and doesn't act upon his urges is superior to the heterosexual who allows himself to be surrounded by the accursed woman.Basra- wrote:The Nomad

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
There is nothing wrong with closet homosexuality in the monotheistic religions since it is not an act, the whole part about the equation is that those who have the strength to avoid acting out their desires go to heaven. Life is a test, remember, ever heard of a deliberately easy exam? For some maybe but for others its tough and they get a reward for passing the trial.
We all have strange urges, like some guys wanna fuck two year-old girls and some wanna fuck animals, but those who resist go to heaven since life is a challenge after all. Closet homosexuality is the same as having a longing for drugs, but resisting the temptation is the key to victory.
In many human societies (Greece for example) and some Muslim societies like Persia or Khorasan, homosexuality was a celebrated aspect of life, but afterwards and today in Iran and Afghanistan closet homosexuality is a major part of life and is accepted by the mainstream as a recognized aspect of tradition. Study the Afghan culture of young boys, especially in the Pashtun areas.

Akhas! Akhas! Akhas! Akhas!
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
''If you want a haliq'' -- a boy for sex -- ''you have to follow the boy for a long time before he will agree,'' said Mr. Daud, smiling at Mr. Fareed in a hostel in Kandahar where the two consented to give an interview.
''At first he was afraid, so I bought him some chocolate and gave him a lot of money,'' said Mr. Daud, laughing. ''I went step by step and after about six or seven months, he agreed.''

Re: On what grounds can Christianity..
Precisely. What I am saying is taking into account closet homosexuality is not condoned by the Abrahamic religions, wouldn't it be considered a benefit for Christians, seeing as the homosexual who does not perform sodomy avoids original sin. So why do we get movements like the WBC who revile anything remotely homosexual, be it the actions or the psychological aspect of it? Is it lack of knowledge regarding the Scripture, or the Christian equivalent of innovation?
I am well aware of the Iranian/Afghan practice of young boys often taking the place of women, it's just tradition.

Nomad, I dont think you quite grasp the concept of Original Sin, a hint- it doesn't mean that women are wicked.
