I don't know why Seattle would be that expensive, there's really nothing that sets it apart but I can understand Cali, or Miami or Hawaii or New England or NY cities in there. Those are millionaire hot spots. Seattle is in league with Atlanta or Minneapolis in these matters.
The only surprise there is Houston. I didn't expect Texas to be up there, except maybe Dallas.

Houston is the 4th largest city in America.
Seattle is pretty expensive, and Seattle has some of the worlds leading industries based in it. That maybe what sets it apart

Some of my friends are/were married to military men who were stationed in Hawaii. They tell me that a trip to the grocers to pick up a few items can cost you nearly 100 bucks no joke!!

i dont think houston should be in that list either. it is far from an expensive city. on the other hand seattle is expensive but not expensive enough to be in the top ten. places like los angeles, new york city and san francisco are crazy. this is all based on average house prices. Oklahoma "big" city here i come, the cheapest city in america.

Well I don’t know about you but most people consider spending that much money on some milk, eggs, and a few other items to take through the express lane pretty expensive.
Imagine what the bill would look like for a weeks worth of food and supplies for a family of four
