I was just watching the video of Siad Barre's first day in office in 21 October 1969.

Seeing that video, I have never been so proud to be from Somalia. You can find it in Somali video stores worldwide, it has Siad Barre's face on it, just request it.

Anyway, 40 years have passed since that video. Guulwaadoow Siyaad.

Explain Why You have been such a hardcore Siyaad loyalist, during Your whole time here. Pretty much all SSDF sentiments displayed by some MJ members here, You don't show. Explain Your thought process. Heck I've seen You have more conflicting sentiments regarding Puntland than MSB's regime.

Actually, the only man I ever loved was Abdullahi Yusuf, but that is out of family love nothing more.

I have not always been a Siad Barre fan, like when Abdullahi Yusuf entered office I hated anyone who ever dared to stand in his way including Siad. There has not been a Somali leader since Siad Barre who wanted to rule the country. Aidid wanted to plunder Somalia, Abdullahi Yusuf wanted to rule Majerteeniya and so forth. This excludes Al-Shabaab however who are not Somali nationalists. Siad Barre was a leader, not a warlord, has Somalia had a leader since? Siad Barre was mentioned in the league of Gamel Abdel Nasser, Muammar Gaddafi, Daniel Arap-Moi - presidential men. Without so much as even going into Siad Barre's legacy or record, the fact that he acted like a president differs him from the long line of warlords and clan chiefs that came after him.

I would have no problem if Marexaan were friggin ran out of Somalia completely while the different factions (SSDF,SNM,USC) actually created a Unity based Gov amongst themselves. At least a State would have been preserved and only one clan punished and that would have been perfectly fine for Me. I think You're right in saying that the vision of the SSDF was to cultivate a successful State (Puntland) SNM was to do the same with Somaliland and Hawiye wanted to live the viva loca till the end of time in their deegano. Basically the different factions were clan based, carve the Country up, not one of them Had a vision of really ruling the whole Country. I could be wrong.

I liked the MSB regime's legislative and educational advances. But I never liked MSB personally. What happened in Gaalkayco will not forgotten.
